Is the Auto Transmission in a 1988 Dodge Dakota the same as another Mopar vehicle? (ie- Cherokee?)?

Aside from the Cherokee (apparently NOT interchangable) what other MOPAR cars/trucks utilized the same ******? I am trying to get a base of cars I can scope out in the u-pull-it types of yards. Limiting myself to 88 Dakotas is futile if there are other options.
